Harvey Weinstein sex scandal

I am shocked that the NY Times would report on this. We will see

https://www.mediaite.com/online/film-mogul-harvey-weinstein-reportedly-lawyers-up-ahead-of-explosive-stories-about-his-behavior/

reply

I've been reading blind items about this guy's behavior for years!

reply

they make foreign movies right here in the US!

reply

Who's angry at him to print this stuff? I'm surprised they would report on it too. I'm sure he's been doing shady stuff for years. I'm not judging, just saying. And maybe he hasn't, but still not good for his reputation.

reply

here are the allegations

reply

Pretty gross
This guy is in a shitload of trouble
Think he is roadkill or will he survive?

reply

he's taking a leave of absence

http://www.tmz.com/2017/10/05/harvey-weinstein-bombshell-sexual-harassment-allegations/

reply

Huh...he damn well should!
Frequent sessions with the best therapists his mega bucks can afford would be a good move too!
Seems like an asshole so i bet he lays low and survives to round up some more awards some day...we have short memories dont we??

reply

he wanted Ashley Judd to watch him shower ??? the guy has issues

reply

Yeah lol
How tempting Mr Weinstein
*we need a puke emoji here...

reply

You must know Hollywood is completely corrupt. It is normal and the rest of the country ... that flyover space that normally I have contempt for is right in this regard. The garbage Hollywood as saturated the country in for 50 years now, sex, violence, perversion, etc ... and I mean gratuitous ... has perverted our culture. And they all stand up for each other too.

Always the same actors get hired. I love movies but I am about ready to boycott all media from what I see in Hollywood today.

reply

This is most likely true of most of the high-ups in Hollywood,
and most of American industry and business. They want the
rest of America poor and easily intimidated with them holding
all the money and power. They use the power of media to hide
what is going on.

These people need to spend some time getting sexually
harassed in prison so they can really understand what most
Americans feel like, because it is not only women it is men
too, and not just sex, abuse, lies and fraud.

People have to turn this around.

reply

suspended from his own company by his brother

reply

fired by his own company

https://www.thewrap.com/httpswww-thewrap-comharvey-weinstein-fired-weinstein-company/

reply

That's the problem with this country. Nobody should be able to fire you from your own company. That's bullshit. If I ever own my own company, I would make it so that if I go down, the company goes with me! We're in this together damn it.

reply

he and his brother owned 44% hence they were in the minority and no longer controlled the company

reply

Would never happen to me. Fuck that. Nobody is taking my company from me. Not after I built it.

So now he's fired but the other shareholders can still profit from his name.

Well the man has been sexually harassing women for 20 years and they all knew about it but now it's a big deal for them now that the scandal has been made public? C'mon. You have to see that that is all kinds of wrong.

They never had a problem with his womanizing ways before, now did they? And so if now they don't wanna be associated with him then QUIT! Easy.

reply

[deleted]

They're just as guilty as he is for going along with the hush money paid to the victims.

reply

Not looking for a rumble here but 'womanizing' is one thing...THAT implies that a fellow is slick/charming/fun/good in the sack...none of which is wrong (its all pretty spot-on actually)
These Weinstein stories seem to revolve around coercion, privelage, forcing young people to perform 'favors' for roles...thats quite another thing imo
If this shit is true he deserves jail time

reply

Well there was only one woman (the model) who actually called the police on Weinstein. The rest used poor judgement. Not saying that any of his victims deserved to be treated like whores because they didn't. All I'm saying is that if a guy invites me to his hotel room for a "business" meeting, obviously that implies sex because normal business meetings occur in an office setting or sometimes casual settings like restaurants, not in a room with a bed and shower. I'm just saying.

reply

Ooooofff!!!
That image of HW in the shower might just haunt us all forever...but yeah, a hotel room is probably not an optimal place to do business ( between a mogul and a young beauty)
This guy seems to be a gross pig

reply

It's just really disgusting for him to use his power and influence for his own perverted sexual gratification.

But he admits that he has a problem so maybe he will get therapy or something? I doubt that he will ever be able to recuperate from this scandal though. More female celebrities are making allegations.

reply

Yeah the more im seeing around the 'net...seems like burnt bread
Fuck this guy

reply

Yeah...if all this sick crap is proven true do they sell off to another Studio...?
This guy really screwed up a bunch of his partners...assuming they werent involved in shenanigans as well:/
This could be one of the stories of the decade
Total asshole for putting himself in this mess...i guess hes a perv but still...hes destroying a billion dollar company
Total jackass

reply

[deleted]

Yeah...pretty poor behavior
Makes me respect the celebs that give back or donate or try to make positive changes all the more...there ARE a few left...

reply

But it was his company. Listen, his partners knew what they were getting into. They knew about the allegations. They knew about Weinstein paying off his victims. It was all fine with them until The Times broke the story. It's unfair to fire a man from his own damn company especially when you were part of the corruption.

reply

they will change the name of the company apparently.

reply

Yeah 20 years later, multiple victims later. How convenient.

reply

his wife is leaving him

reply
