Who's your favourite puppet on sesame street, muppet from the muppet movies and looney tunes characters?

My favorite is Herry monster and the count. I have always been fascinated by the castles, and goth even when i was little:) not like goth teenagers but the romance of the castles of Transylvania and the dark beauty of Eastern Europe and the dracula movie i saw when i was little with wynona ryder. i was born with porcelain skin and black hair(dark irish) and spanish eyes so my look fits that too. Anyway i found the count really interesting. I think i was the only kid to have a crush on the count. Then i went to Romania and this dentist cleaned my teeth and he kept saying "a leetle beet" (a little bit) and i couldn't stop laughing or keep my mouth open it was so funny he sounds just like the count. It turns out Romania is as beautiful as i imagined.
I liked Herry for his warm voice he was like a big sweet bear. Before i "discovered" the count he was my favourite.
My favourite muppet is Gonzo. He was sooo cute, sweet and peaceful and quiet-but his chicken fascination was weird.
My favourite looney tunes character is the brilliant Daffy Duck. And i loooved Woody woodpecker too. Ha-Ha ha - ha - ha. I liked the fact Woody could play jokes and always get away with them.

I loved Looney Tunes, watched them Saturday mornings in the 80s when I was a kid, Yosemite Sam, Bugs, Daffy, the frog who sang "Hello my Baby" only when his owner was alone with him, Elmer Fudd, classics.

reply

Omg that frog was hilarious! What about that huge furry red monster. And while on the subject of yosemite sam, google axl rose, he has turned into him:D

reply

Holy Christ, Axl does look a lot like him, what happened to him? He was a good looking guy when Guns N Roses started in 1987. I laughed for about 5 minutes when I saw the pictures of him now.

reply

It is not even funny. I am still coming to terms with the fact he went through menopause and became a woman with a high-pitched voice. When i was five, he was my first love-not a good choice-but i loved his kilt and doc maartens-i had style. Now he dresses like a hillbilly. Tell me-how do you lose fashion sense?
Don't look him up on youtube it gets really depressing. He must have had hormone treatments it is very upsetting. My sadistic sister thinks it's hilarious.

reply

It's really sad how badly his voice has deteriorated, I thought Paul Stanley of Kiss had gotten bad but Axl is even worse. Joe Elliot of Def Leppard and David Coverdale of Whitesnake sound pretty bad too. I hope Adele's voice will still sound great in the long run.

reply

Well, she's pretty big now, so i don't know. It seems everyone loses his/her voice when they get old but slash is still great! They are touring Europe this summer but i am not going. Axl looks geriatric and he's tone deaf. And seriously WHAT HAPPENED TO HIS SENSE OF STYLE?!

By far and way, Sam the Eagle. Incidentally, my wife's best friend's granddad is (was) the man the character Grover was based on, or so I'm told.

Favorite Looney Tunes character, Marvin.

reply

Favorite muppet...Yoda
SS...Mr. Snuffleupagus
LT...Marc Antony and Pussyfoot!!!

reply

A child of the 70s, I was raised on the Street. I always heard and pronounced it Snuffleufagus until in my 40s, with young children of our own who were enjoying Sesame Street, my wife, a Sesame Street expert you could say, heard me mispronounce it and corrected me. At first I thought she was out of her mind, until I realized it was actually me who was out of my own mind. I still haven't gotten over it.

reply
