Do You Still Visit IMDb?

I know a lot of folks were pretty pissed at IMDb after they shut down the message boards and vowed never to go back or to buy anything from Amazon ever again forever haha. After MovieChat emerged as a replacement for the IMDb forums I haven't really been back that much. This site has basic cast and rating info which is all I really care about. Sometimes I'll visit to look at the Trivia section, but that's kinda rare. Amazon on the other hand I visit every day. I'm a stay at home girl so most of my shopping is online nowadays and there's really no alternative to Amazon...

So do you still visit IMDb? What about Amazon? Why?

I still use IMDb and Amazon.

Only to put my rating after I've seen it. That's it. It's the only way to keep track of what I've seen.

IMDb? Not so much any longer. I'll go there once in awhile to look up things about certain actors but it's not the same without the message boards. Like most people here, I use to visit almost every day.
Now I come here.

Amazon? We still order things. You can't always find certain items at our local stores.

Yeah but a lot of people sold out and are actually using the comment section of FB's IMDB page when not just 2 months ago, it was a ghost town of a page with no traffic

Although I'm not on Facebook, I've seen the layout of what it's like over there, and I find it hard to imagine how using the comment section can be anything but clunky and inconvenient to actually discuss anything in using it. Why don't those people just come over here?

They have the movie times of all my favorite theaters. That's the reason I go there. Also, sometimes I want to find the name of an actor or a movie that an actor was in.

But I do still and probably always will have a grudge for the way they got rid of their message boards. That was just pure evil. On the other hand the trolls and creeps were way out of hand

I still do to look up casts, trivia and rating systems. But once I feel like seeing the message boards, I come to movie chat. I basically have 2 separate windows now. One for IMDb and one for movie chat.
