i am new here and I posted about being confused, last night. Someone answered my post by informing me that the example I gave, of a movie I couldn't find, had LOTS of posts and WHAT WAS I TALKING ABOUT???

Hmmm, obviously, when I searched that title, I got nothing. I have no idea why I got nothing. I tried looking for a way to reply to their reply, but I never found anything...so yeah. Not very helpful.

This site still seems confusing to me...perhaps I am the dumbest human alive. But it doesn't seem that friendly either.

I am very depressed that IMDb is gone...but this site doesn't seem to be the answer...sigh...

You're not alone. Don't be so hard on yourself. This is a brand new site as far as I can tell, and I'm having the same problem. In fact, I just started a thread about the same thing. There's no way to really follow your own posts or discussions or get notified so you can keep along.

Perhaps this site will evolve. I liked the format of imdb and getting notifications and knowing who was responding so we could converse. This is, at least as of this writing, a little confusing and hard to follow. So no, you're not alone.

Gema, if you click on your screenname, it should show your post history (and posts and new threads you've made should be there).

More features should be added soon. But for now, the basics are actually there. You can look at your history, or search for individual films or actors.

Please be patient, everyone. The site was just created a few days ago and the founder is working 24/7 to address all of these things. As AtomicReturns said, all the basics are in place, and new features are being added all the time.

As far as I know, this is the only site which has archived a large majority of movie and actor boards, so I'll be sticking around.

Fuck your optimism. This site is now 5 years old, and is actually worse than it ever was. It’s become Troll Central, where morons celebrate “freedom of speech” because the site owner has “disengaged” from the site and what remains of moderation permits discussion of the evils of vaccination, living on a flat earth and the inherent evil of white heterosexual men.

Yeah, I personally started going more on Reddit/Movies, if you check for John Wick 2 and Lego Batman there's not much discussion here, but it's great that we are able to read the archives.

I was a bit confused at first. You type in the movie or TV show and press Enter. There ya go!

All efforts have been to get the IMDb boards over here. The rest will take time. Frankly, I love the simple home page.mremnds me of what IMDb once was.

@Gema, I was one of the users who responded to you and tried to help. I wasn't trying to be unfriendly, I was just trying to help you find your film discussions, because they show up for me. Apologies if it seemed blunt. That was not at all my intention. I very much want to help create a good atmosphere here.

The site is brand-new, and as far as I can tell it's run by one guy who decided to rescue our content, so I'm hoping users will give it a chance. IMDb had 15+ years to develop, and this site has had only a few days! In time I'm sure the basic message-board features we want will appear.
