New York had no warning when millions of flights landed into the region from covid hotspots. Other states were warned, but failed to protect themselves.

Now, the NY Covid positivity rate is 2.4. Anything above 5 is too high.

I agree with Biden when he says we're one nation and must work together to defeat covid. I'm relieved he will work with world leaders, too.

Trump's China flight ban was only partial and much later after other countries bans.

Most virus cases came from Europe flights to the New York region which had no ban. 3 million people arrived and we know how that turned out.

I think beside pubs tapping a reservoir of fear and hate in our US society, other actors are putting their thumbs on the scale.
The simple access to the internet by bad actors makes it easy to send messages that are antithetical to American Ideals.
These actors may be home grown or foreign, but they are trying to undermine American Democracy.
And all the arguments that we should have "Free Speech"= No Censorship is a smokescreen to bombard us with lies to push the needle of a very afraid people and give access to utterly corrupt creeps like rump.
