She will be asked to play the role of aunt May when she reaches old age. Right now she is too old to star in superhero movies, and too young to play the mother roles. Also, I think the lack of more Oscars made her not that big a star. Lastly, she simply chooses her projects with less flair than Charlize Theron, Scarlett Johansson and other even older and more decorated actresses. She doesn't have the physique to do action scenes.
Part of that surge was about musical videos with CGI, especially with Madonna. Dione made it big from the early 90s perhaps. One year only (1999-2000) is too small a sample to analyse.
One reason why your post is valid though, is because of the way the music industry works these days. Older stars like Lionel Richie, Elton John, Pearl Jam have been producing music. It's just that they are not being marketed to heavy listeners or young people.
He slowly won me over during his career. Last time I watched him was for a car commercial. He was on autopilot there though.

If a machine has free will, we will never be able to prove for sure that it has it. If, hypothetically we could prove that it did have free will, we will need to read really closely what does free will mean in the first place.
Free will won't come in the type of machines that we are imagining. Machines made of metal and plastic, made of software, based even loosely on the Turing model, whether even if it were to be steeped in nanotechnology, free will will not occur.
The first machine to have free will will be a thing unimaginable to us.
It is a good Fantasy movie. But for a Conan adaptation it is less than that. I would not watch it again.

I read the comics 30 years ago. I would never have guessed 5 years ago, let alone back then, that the comics would be adapted. Looking forward to seeing the Beyonder and Galactus will be more than a cloud this time. And Dr Doom will be more less lamer.

Women have been conditioned by men to dissemble and lie and not 'be themselves'. Then we are astonished as they fake their way through life. Many women are like that. People that are oppressed always need to think outside the box.
If I was married, I try to know what my wife really thought of me. Not by rummaging through her clothes or keeping tabs on her internet activity, but by knowing her facial tics so much that I'd hopefully know for sure how committed she is.
Just take away people's guns. Some forms of crime will decrease on their own.

Independent does mean what it means. But the alternative in the past was that the woman gave you sex unwillingly with a fake smile plastered on her face and/or having an affair behind the man's back.
Fortunately the poor are here to be fruitful and multiply, no matter what.
