Kevin Smith was just speculating. Wow, a Greta Gerwig Barbie movie starring Margot Robbie has feminist themes? Who would’ve guessed? Killing off the tagalong child character would’ve probably been seen as too depressing for an Indiana Jones movie, especially when they already established that Mutt died. Fun fact; the reason that Justice League: Mortal, which would’ve had Armie Hammer as Batman, was ultimately canceled was because WB didn’t want to dilute the brand by introducing a new Batman at the same time that Christian Bale’s Batman was still around. It isn’t. Even in the original film, Marion is depicted as a headstrong woman who can outdrink men twice her size, and during her first scene with Indiana Jones, she calls him out for having taken advantage of her when she was younger. She helped Indiana reconcile with Marion. That seemed like a pretty nice thing to do. People in their 30s and early 40s are millennials. I think you’re referring to Gen Z. The Little Mermaid has made over $500 million worldwide. The other two movies would kill for that at this point. Snyder left DC back in 2017. Also, how is “Rob Zombie’s Aquaman” a flop? People have spent years attacking Snyder and accusing him of being a horrible person just because they don’t like his capeshit, not to mention the people who mocked the death of his daughter. He doesn’t owe those people anything. Not every single person in LA is a leftist. The whole point of his arc in the movie is how he’s lost his way. If superheroes were never allowed to be flawed, there wouldn’t be much conflict in a story. The line is meant to highlight how Batman has become consumed by fear and paranoia, much like how many Americans felt in the aftermath of 9/11. You’re not supposed to agree with him. That’s the point. He’s in the wrong, and Alfred calls him out on it. It’s a reference to something Dick Cheney said. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_One_Percent_Doctrine# Most species of whales are endangered. The last thing they need is people hunting them down. They didn’t add Keaton in reshoots. This movie finished filming a couple of months before NWH was even released, and Keaton’s return was announced back in the Summer of 2020. The entire concept of God is a dick in general. Jesus Christ, it’s like clockwork with you guys. She would’ve made more sense as Lois Lane. In fact, she’s actually voiced Lois Lane.
