It was supposed to be funny. The Griswolds were obnoxious, not-so-smart American tourists and they didn't exactly know what good fashion was. When they leave the store, Audrey tells Rusty, "you look cool" and he replies, "I FEEL cool!" Little did they know they looked like idiots! That was one of the funniest scenes in the movie!

I didn't like the character at all. You could tell she didn't like the child and if they would've become serious, or worse, married, she would've been the a-typical bitchy, jealous stepmother who would've prevented Jonah from seeing/talking to his father, unless she was there. That woman needed a childless man to date!

Larry was just a nerd that took his position as Tracy Flick's "assistant" very seriously. I liked when they're walking down the hall with the ballot box and he starts looking to the side, as if he is a secret service agent protecting the box. I knew kids like that in high school.
I got nauseated when I saw that scene. Sean Penn's character looked so dirty too, like he never showered. Come to think of it, everyone, minus the young girl looked dirty.

Yes, I just saw this movie and her blaming her husband was brutal to watch. I know she couldn't help it, but damn. She was starting to really annoy me.
