I get making something easier to use, but that shouldn't come at the cost of consistency. A costume in a 2017 film shouldn't look shittier than it did in 1977.
Luke's death was dumb. He kicks ass. Then he looks at the sky and just randomly decides to die for no reason....

Yoda did look like crap. The puppet didn’t match. The ghost effect was inconsistent with previous films. Shit for the birds.

The problem with Luke is he just dies for no reason. One minute he's being a badass, and then he just dies.

But the Force exists in the Star Wars galaxy. Not only is it an energy field, but it's also an aether that exists only in that galaxy allowing fighters to fly in space and sound to travel in space....

filmboards has all the old boards archived like this, but the format matches the old site and you can link your IMDB account and keep all your old post history.
The also have a browser plugin that puts all their forum pages back in the IMDB movie pages.
I don't know if posting a link is against the rules, but it would be awesome if there was actually traffic on that site.
Kind of wished filmboards was ready before the meteor hit. The really cool thing is that you can link your old IMDB account there. It would have been awesome.
Anyway, just glad to see familiar faces. I'm seeing the thing Friday.
