Truth. She followed the example set for her. Her mother should have kept her engagement to Edward, but as soon as she could, she broke the agreement and sent Mary to France to serve the best interests of the French, which is what she was, not the Scottish who paid the price with the long war and scorched Earth policies employed by the English in response. Edward would have died before they could be married and she could have married who she wanted anyway. And because of her upbringing, Scots rightfully saw her as French and not Scottish, a huge reason for her unpopularity even before her stupid mistakes. She chose to marry Darnley who was an fool instead of a candidate Elizabeth supported which would have ensured her the support of England rather than it's hostility. The Protestant Lords in Scotland who removed her would never have done so if she had England backing her. They all depended on running to England if things went bad. She was a complete idiot when it came to marriage. Then she married her husband's murderer and was out of power in a matter of months. Elizabeth didn't want to execute Mary, but she felt she had no choice for the opposite reason. If she didn't, then she would be seen as weak (and women unfit to rule due to this) and Mary would remain a constant threat. Marco Bello really got screwed in the end. Yeah. Daryl and Rosita would have made more sense than her and Gabriel. Even her and Tara. It's just bizarre. Especially if it's heading where I think based on the books. And how is no one pushing up on the lovely Cyndie? Of all the couples they could make, it's the hot chick and the one-eyed preacher. pfft. Their scene was just awkward. It seems like something pulled out of a hat. The reaction I've seen from everyone is just bewilderment that they made this pairing. The writers been sniffling glue to come up with that reasoning. Not everyone has to be in a relationship. This. It's becoming the theater of the absurd in this regard. Not that Rosita and Eugene in the books is any better. Didn't like the narrator again. So the Brida in the books 100% hates Uhtred and it's not the love-hate relationship as portrayed in this show? - Yes. After the early books, she hates him because of how he helped Wessex defeat the Danes. Brida's character isn't having maudlin conversations with Uhtred in front of a fire and talking about old times. She does something truly horrible to his family at around this point in the books. I would have hated the show if it tried to make us believe Uhtred would be extorted into indentured servitude a 3rd time. - And he didn't. But he also didn't put his knife to the King's throat in front of everyone. It made no sense. What happens in the book does. There are future seasons for this arc to play out - Their romance mostly plays out in these 2 books. Meaning they will again be changing around things in the next two books to push their relationship if there is a Season 4, which is not certain. Their relationship will seem even more shoehorned. Exactly. I was agreeing with you. Elgort as Tony says what a joke it will be. I always thought they should have had Brenda and Steve hook-up when Kelly was first dating Dylan. Instead they had that stupid little arc with that dude that played Bull in Band of Brothers. I still don't understand how they were all 16 and driving cars in the first season and then suddenly they were sophomores. Ansel Elgort has been cast as Tony. Enough said. I don't see how you have to be racist to call out a movie that has an obvious agenda. And the blonde Nordic actress has had two other roles at least where she is the slutty blonde with Somali men. That's not a coincidence. That's why it's called escapist fantasy. Of course in such a dystopian world, kids would not be leading, much less young girls. Particularly absurd when the leaders of the grounders are always women or girls when in such a world, females would have resumed the traditional roles and half would be pregnant most of the time. Quite embarrassing. One of the worst cameos ever. Wasn't even funny like the one in Ant-Man, just dumb and out of place. I don't think Bendavid is much of an actor, but Corso was about 1000x better character than that bitch Derrick Moss. I'm glad the show creators realized that too by his final dialogue with two. She can't act. She belongs in obscure sci fi roles like Dark Matter, not in big budget films. Another lifestyle hire. I'd rather see them do something like add wings and energy blasters to Scott's suit. Again in this last film it emphasized how stupid it is that they would choose not to give him those advantages. Janet's life is at stake and he's waiting for ants to dodge seagulls instead of flying on his own. Just what we need. Another peripheral superhero and one they aged up about ten years as well. Anne and Aramis reuniting was beyond ridiculous. Made their characters both repulsive. She has got to be the most selfish person in the world. Immediately breaking her all promises to Louis and risking more gossip and suspicion surrounding her son. Risking another pregnancy and more disgrace. Aramis putting her in that position. Written by fan fiction people. No one in America is seeing a film because Elle Fanning is in it. I think they should be focusing on the British audience in a film like this and the kind of films I'm talking about. And if that's the case, then hire good actresses at least, not the same people bad ones over and over again.
