I know small towns will sometimes have them in the same building and will have their entire school on one campus since they are so small, but their high school transcript still begins in 9th grade just like everyone else. And on BMW they weren't in a small town, they were in Philadelphia. That seems odd to me. I've never heard of a high school that's grades 7-12. I guess the idea behind it was so that they could have Cory and Eric go to the same school. They started in Arkansas and went west. Although nearly the entire movie was shot in California. Which if you've ever been to any of the state they're supposedly going though, you know they aren't really in any of those states. Does anyone have pictures of Malone's home before the building was torn down? I'm not really understanding this comparison. Thematically, they were so different from one another. It makes more sense to compare Friends to How I Met Your Mother and Boy Meets World to Wonder Years. I can actually buy them being able to ride horses fairly well. Ness and Wallace would've been born right around the turn of the century. Malone obviously would've been born well before. Stone would've been born after the turn but probably not by much. It would be fair to say that none of them had a car growing up. They would've had to have ridden horses for personal transportation at least in their childhood and into their teen years. These guys probably didn't start driving regularly until the late teens or the twenties. No, the ones released on DVD weren't high quality. And that was by design. George didn't want them to be high quality. But the accompanying disc of the special edition was high quality because he wants everyone to watch that one and not the originals. I suppose the source for the original films on DVD could've been from a laser disc or somesuch. Now that it looks like it's out of George's hands, we have a better chance than ever to get the original versions in HQ. Unless of course George put some stipulation about it in the sales contract. Here's hoping that we get the originals in HQ. **crosses fingers** Right. And the point of that was that Lucas didn't consider the original films to be the official films. He was just trying to placate the fans who continually cried for the release of the unaltered originals. So he made them look as pitiful as possible in order to drive people to watch the special edition versions. I don't know why you guys keep saying they don't exist. The OT was released on DVD a few years back in two disc sets that included the original, unaltered movie and the special edition. I bought Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back at Walmart in that format. The original, unaltered version was not restored and it was letter boxed and pillar boxed. Of course the special edition was widescreen, restored etc. etc. Because Lucas wanted it that way. I guess he thought he was throwing a bone to us fans but was also trying to push everyone to watch and accept the special edition so that's why the original films looked so bad. All that to say, the original films still exist. They just need to be restored and released in widescreen HDR 4k. I don't think it's trying to be smart or clever. As far as there being any setup, I guess you should blame the source. It's based on a book by former FBI agent John Douglas. The character of Holden is based on Douglas and a lot of the text is based on the interviews that Douglas conducted with these killers. Well, I was hoping to be able to discuss this show with people once season 11 premiered in the US. Pretty dead in here though. Doesn't bode well for any conversation. I blame this on the imdb boards going away. This used to be a somewhat active discussion until that happened. I enjoyed the movie and thought it was pretty good. My problem though, is Jack's Miracle Worker approach to autism. I'm not a doctor but I don't think that approach would work for someone with autism. It's totally different. Helen Keller's brain worked the same as most people it was just locked away behind the deprivation of the senses of sight and hearing. For a person with autism, they have those senses but their brain functions differently. I completely see what you're saying lucy. I guess I just wonder why it has to be a stereotype. It would be more believable if rock stars in movies were characters instead of caricatures. And it's not like the Brits have a corner on the market of drugged up, out of it rock stars. There's people like Kurt Cobain, Steven Tyler, Layne Staley, Scott Weiland, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Iggy Pop, most of Guns n' Roses, and pretty much everyone in Motley Crue. And there's many others not listed here. The first time I saw it, I tried to keep track of who was doing what and all the plot points and what each character wanted. After watching it, I realized none of that mattered. Come to find out, some of the story and the structure is based on The Big Sleep. So the plot is supposed to be confusing and not really matter. On my subsequent viewings, I didn't worry about any of that and was just a long for the ride and the movie became fun for me. What I like about it is the characters and the dialogue. None of it is funny in a traditional sense like how some movies funny scenes are based upon a joke or joke type dialogue or a setup and payoff. It's funny because of the situation and the characters. One of my favorite lines is when The Dude says "Careful, man. There's a beverage here." His concern is not being manhandled by a tough or being shoved into some unfamiliar car. No, it's keeping his White Russian from spilling. On the surface the line doesn't seem funny at all. And some of it I find funny for inexplicable reasons. And to an extent, some of it is just a matter of liking the Coens' style and humor. It's a matter of taste. Kind of like how I don't get Wes Anderson and his movies. I feel like I'm missing something but I don't understand what I'm missing. But I just don't get it. "Anyone else watching?" Apparently not. I find this difficult to believe. I clicked your links and there's no source to them. It's just unfounded internet gossip. For this to be true, you'd have to assume that he did the same thing to Danielle Fishel on BMW. If he'd done that to Danielle then I seriously doubt she would be willing to work with him again on GMW. And there's also no evidence that she hooked up with Fogelmanis. It seems they dated but no evidence of hooking up. Why is it that when people say Asian they mean a person from the far east coast of Asia? Asia is a large continent. It includes India, Russia, Suadi Arabia, the UAE as well as many other countries. But when someone says Asian, no one thinks they mean someone from India or Russia or Saudi Arabia. I felt like they got Kimmy and Fernando back together too quickly. I wish they would've kept all the girls single a little longer before they put them with serious boyfriends. That way they could build up the camaraderie of the she-wolf pack more. They needed time to just be the she-wolves and take on the world together. That being said, I still love this show.
