And that is why it's cancelled

They had a chance to teach a worldly lesson about sometimes moving is best for everyone, and they blew it...again.

This is a terrible lesson for kids. Sometimes parents have to make the hard call. They can't always pander to children. Perfect millennial lesson that kids have the power, I guess.

reply

I thought she moved.

The show was so preachy and unrealistic and that's why it was cancelled. It never covered the real aspects of the teenage years like sex and drugs and peer pressure. Rowan Blanchard could not act herself out of a paper bag, let alone a Disney tv show which is not much different. Once she sprouted some boobs that was the end of the show as Disney will not ever have an open forum about sex and drugs and friends growing up and growing apart as time goes by. Everything is always so sugar-coated and perfect in a Disney show, it's hard to watch every week after a while when nothing ever happens but people talking about themselves over nothing.

reply

Rowan Blanchard is a very talented Actor - she's got a real future ahead of her.

reply

Sabrina too.

reply

She does, indeed.

reply

The show was never preachy or unrealistic. Rowan's politics or free speech had nothing to o with the cancellation. It was canceled strictly for monetary reasons - Disney would have had to renegotiate salaries - and they were already too much for Disney. Besides -they were also making serious money with Sabrina's singing.

They sign 4 year deals from the get go. Nobody of matter contract had to be renegotiated. Disney is drawing bad ratings right now and they're hitting the reset button.

And this is why IMDb is shutting down its message boards, because they are sick of dealing with haters.

Everything was going swimmingly with this series. Lots of fans. Considering the platform where it was airing it got ok ratings. People were kind of shocked when the show got canceled, especially considering the owners of the show and where it was airing. The reason? The executive producer of the show found out the barely legal actress on the show who turned him down because she was underage when they met had been hooking up with her love interest on the show from day one when she was underage. They did a very good job of keeping it hidden. When the executive producer found out about it, he demanded, yes demanded the actress have sex with him. When she told him to f**k off, he killed the show. Boom, just like that. Done. He also has basically blackballed the lead actor although when he tried to do the same to the actress she threatened him with a lawsuit and sexual harassment and a million other things. Not only did he back off about the blackballing he wrote her a big check to keep quiet about what happened when she was underage.

The show: "Girl Meets World"
The platform: "The Disney Channel"
The barely-legal, then-underage girl: Sabrina Carpenter (Maya Hart)
The male actor boyfriend: Corey Fogelmanis (Farkle Minkus)
The executive producer: possibly Michael Jacobs

I find this difficult to believe. I clicked your links and there's no source to them. It's just unfounded internet gossip.

For this to be true, you'd have to assume that he did the same thing to Danielle Fishel on BMW. If he'd done that to Danielle then I seriously doubt she would be willing to work with him again on GMW.

And there's also no evidence that she hooked up with Fogelmanis. It seems they dated but no evidence of hooking up.

R0w@n left Disney because they wouldn’t let her have lgbt and social justice themes on the show.

Again, you've linked another message board. What they say holds no more water than what is written on this board. I could say that Rowan is a Martian and someone can quote me but it doesn't make it true.

ETA: Exec producer is Frank Pace and he's 67! IF this blind is true.
