What state did they start in?

Just wondering.

At one point, they are clearly going through Oklahoma... and arguing about driving through Texas. But what state did they start in? Anyone know?

No it wasn't Arkansas because Louise called Jimmy and said "I'm in deep *beep* Jimmy. Deep *beep* Arkansas." They fled to Arkansas- but I too wondered where they started.

They started in Arkansas and went west. Although nearly the entire movie was shot in California. Which if you've ever been to any of the state they're supposedly going though, you know they aren't really in any of those states.
