He's a caricature that is impossible to relate to, so no. Too predictable a storyline from liberal Hollywood HBO. The innocent muslim from an immigrant family is trampled by the American justice system, while all the while the true villain was some white dude. If you know how they think and what they believe, you can see all this coming from a mile away. True. Actors should just STFU about politics. With respect to Mike and the shoe. By that point, he was known to them and they wouldn't have let him just walk up to their drug truck. This way, he plants the evidence without coming within 100 feet of the truck I have a hard time seeing how a sequel could ever be as "fresh" as the original. Having said that, I loved the original, but I think GotG2 is more entertaining. It will crush Suicide Squad The IMDB rating system is, in theory, by people who visit IMDB. However, since the has gotten so big, more than just users give ratings. Studios, particularly for big movies, will send out thousands of paid schills to inflate ratings. Bands of trolls, that control botnets, will use those botnets to inflate the ratings for shows they like and sink the ratings for shows they don't. So the rating you see over there isn't necessarily reflective of what the actual viewers think. Now, MovieChat is currently too small to attract such attention, so we would know the ratings were by actual unpaid people who had actually seen the movie. A "pure" rating, if you will. Moderators are a good thing. That was part of the problem with the IMDB boards. They killed the boards off because of the trolling and vulgarity, but they never really made an effort to moderate. They just let the boards police themselves, and when a troll ends up a moderator (like what happened on the IMDB GoT boards), chaos ensues. Sure, the trolls love it, but this site wasn't created for them. It was created for people who like to talk about movies and television shows. I think I am gonna have to disagree with you there. I thought most of the attempts at humor hit home. For humor, Drax is probably my favorite character. I was okay with it. If I had a beef, it wasn't that scene specifically, but that they tried to cram several sappy scenes into the movie. Keep it under 5 for a superhero movie. Apparently, a fair amount of the film was shot to accomodate the expanded aspect ratio, so if that sort of thing really matters to you, you should wait to see it in IMAX. Saw it this weekend in regular 2D. Was a great movie. There hasn't really been anything to fill the void yet either, IMO. Better Call Saul isn't bad, but it isn't at the level of Breaking Bad. Now that Game of Thrones is coming to an end, I just don't know what I am going to do. Go out into the sunshine perhaps. The pilot for this show is terrific. I was hooked as soon as I saw Vic beating the shit out of that dude in the interrogation room "Good cop and bad cop have left for the day. I'm a different kind of cop" This is GoT, where they kill off central characters all the time. Add to that, we are coming to the crescendo, where we can expect DandD to stack the bodies pretty high. So, I would expect at least a couple of those people to not make it to the end. IMDB GoT "alums" are the trolls that brought down the IMDB message boards. If they are over there, then I prefer to be here.
