I was thinking around 2006 or 2007 because of the flip phones. I can’t remember if we saw smartphones. But I guess if it was say 2012, that’d put her around 68, which might not be far off
I think the other poster mentioned the money for the medical bills because that could be their way of keeping you on the hook, needing to work to make money to pay for medical.
And as for the break room… it might not be so simple as you think to overcome that psychological torture.

They just copied almost every movie ever. Because there were credits at the end.
It’s not quite like it seems, but I get why it would look that way from there perspective of someone unfamiliar with the Halo story. And that’s the creators fault. I think episode 2 will make things more clear. I have no idea why they wouldn’t release the first 2 episodes together… most shows seem to do that these days. In this particular incidence, it seems needed more than most.
Oh, I didn’t think to check for an actual Gilded Age sub. Most things I’ve wanted to discuss could only be found in r/movies and such. I’m going to check out the gilded age sub right now!
