I remember over a decade ago when the hype started about Halo movie with an expected trilogy it then went quiet with the odd news coming up about it would be a tv series or a web series.

I preferred the news of tv/web series makes more sense compared to films.

I saw the trailers was no impressed but thought give it a chance not anymore after watching that first episode im done and i hope many others follow suit.

This is disrespectful to the following it has nothing to do with the original content from any of the other formats.

I can rip apart everythig but not worth the effort just stay clear of it.

While the effects and production seemed good, it just doesn't feel like much of anything. Did they just copy paste known characters into some generic sci-fi plot? I don't know much about Halo but honestly this feels bland and disconnected from much of anything. You have the typical stuff, middle of nowhere village and spunky person from it, vaguely authoritarian empire-thing complete with rebel types, the beginnings of some escape and chase plot. Yawn.

It’s not quite like it seems, but I get why it would look that way from there perspective of someone unfamiliar with the Halo story. And that’s the creators fault. I think episode 2 will make things more clear. I have no idea why they wouldn’t release the first 2 episodes together… most shows seem to do that these days. In this particular incidence, it seems needed more than most.

You think episode 2 is going to what fix all that? its in one episode destroyed it already.

It's a complete mess they have so much material they could of used and this is what they came out with something which used nothing.

Master Chief removing his helmet and showing himself is an insult and he acts nothing like the proper character.

This is as the other poster said a generic sci-fi movies with them using character names etc.

I'm probably in the minority on here but I liked it. I like the games and lore and I can like this show too. MC can take off his whole suit and just wear a jumpsuit, I don't care. All I need is a good story and I saw enough here to look forward to episode 2.

I know most fans disagree and that's OK too. Just remember some of us plebs like it.

I remember struggling with episode 1 of shows like Mandalorian and others but stuck with it and it came good.

I do agree with you on many things but I will give it a chance for now.

I don't care about the video games. It should stand as its own thing. But the pilot wasn't that captivating to keep watching.
