I'm not sure what the problem is. Where exactly is up north in Canada? You couldn't login because your lover blocked it trying to tell you something on your romantic getaway in the great northern snow abyss. It was by far the weakest part of the film. Just show him knocking people out and working his way up the ranks and easily could have resolved this issue. Yeah it's just poor writing for Damian to get a shot, no matter what way you look at it. Creed tries to reference Rocky v Apollo 1 in the film, which was extremely unrealistic too, as to why the fight would sell. However, Rocky was a pro boxer with a crappy record while Damian has yet to have a single professional fight. It's the weakest part of the film by far and easily could have been resolved with maybe an extra 5 minutes of montages mix in here and there of Damian knocking dudes out in the first round with ease to build up rep. The biggest appeal for me for the Wick films is the amazing long choregraphed fights. Out of your list, I would say that Jackie Chan would relate the most because of his long choregraphed fight scenes though they are MUCH more heavily edited and comedic. Didn't think of that. Very true. Lautner. He has the speed and stamina on all these old folks, especially an advantage over Lee. Maybe I give Jackie Chan an edge since he is heavily trained. Maybe Jim is lost in Jumanji or the Grid? I did as well. The trailer gave me After Earth vibes. Apollo's wife. If your best friend's wife, who also happens to be the adoptive mother of your protégé, died, you would probably be at the funeral. I'll have to listen to the interview. The interview I read he made comments that he was furious after the films were successful because of how they basically took advantage of his naivety and refused to give him ownership rights. But I guess he didn't actually confront them about it until 1985. https://variety.com/2019/film/features/sylvester-stallone-rocky-ownership-stake-1203275639/ "I’m still having a tough time understanding why you didn’t insist on getting a piece of the very thing you created. I think there was a certain code of business conduct, maybe not as much now, but back then, that you don’t ruffle the feathers of the golden goose. The studio is the power, the agency relies upon them, and the attorneys are the go-betweens. When I finally confronted them [just before “Rocky IV” in 1985], I said, “Does it bother you guys that I’ve written every word, I’ve choreographed it, I’ve been loyal to you, I’ve promoted it, directed it and I don’t have 1% that I could leave for my children?” And the quote was, “You got paid.” And that was the end of the conversation." Yeah I agree it would be nice to see, but I doubt that is going to happen. Winkler's been a producer on every Rocky and Creed movie so Sly might come back at some point. Sure they are feuding recently, but once that calms down I can see him doing a cameo. Sly has held this grudge since 1976 yet continued to be involved in all but one of the films in the franchise. Even Creed III, Sly is listed as a producer, though his involvement was probably miniscule. I don't remember what scene they refer to him as Burton, but maybe it was a nod of appreciation to the real life actor and boxer since his name was Tony Burton and he passed in 2016? Rocky's son. After the events of Rocky Balboa in 2006, Rocky hit the streets in Vegas and got some lady pregnant, but never knew about the kid. Now the kid is a hungry young man starting off his professional career and works his way up the ranks to challenge Creed. Yes, there's lots of stuff I'd like to still do and learn. I mean I am not actively worrying about it, but would like for it to not happen. Probably everyone here is a former IMDB member. Yeah I agree with that. I think Arnold being in that film was part of the problem and the franchise needs to move on or do something vastly different. We've played the send a terminator or person back in time to protect future leader/hero too many times now. The solution to everything seems to be to send a person/thing back in time lol. I thought Salvation was great and 3rd best in the franchise. I wish we would have got some sequels from that film. I'm not sure what OP meant by that. Maybe more action and CGI and less of a horror element in a rebooted/remake of the 1984 Terminator? You said a brand new storyline and plot, but then described the plot and storyline of almost every terminator film. Dark Fate was the last entry and attempted to reboot with the same story except they swapped John for a young girl, Skynet with Legion, Reese with android lady and it bombed at the box office. Could it be successful? Sure it's possible, but we need something really different at this point and it needs to be well made. The only entry since, The Terminator, that was much different was Terminator Salvation and most people didn't like that.
