The poster is a pun

It's literally showing Jack Reacher's back with the slogan, "Reacher's Back" over top of it. I don't know if the show has a cheeky tone, or if most people who see it realise this, or indeed, even if the ad campaign designers intentionally did it, but it cracks me up.

reply

It's also a pretty honest poster, because that's precisely the level of cleverness and subtlety this show has to offer.

reply

I wouldn't have expected much more from this type of show. Hoped, maybe, but not expected.

reply

I literally just got it. I was gonna post something myself.

reply

I still don't know if it's intentional. I *think* it is, but some people are pretty obtuse.

reply

That’s a stretch.

reply

Or maybe a reach?

reply

Did you just flex your wit.

reply

I hope it worked out.

reply

I heard Reacher is coming out with a Frisbee line meant for gay men. They will be called Reacher-round....I'll see myself out.

reply

Just his last name? Why take the Jack off?

reply

It doesn't work with Reach Around. Thats his line of mosquito repellent, Jack-Off.

reply

Well, what if you're playing gay Frisbee in the park and there are a lot of bugs (like fruit flies, for instance)? Do you Reacher-round first, or Jack-Off before you Reacher-round?

reply

Details are important when at the park. Jack-off always goes before the reacher-round.

reply

I've learned so much.

reply

Oh boy.

To quote a wise sage of the past, "Like, duh."

reply

I think it's to make viewers aware that THIS is how Jack Reacher looks in the Novel. Very imposing unlike 5 foot 4 inch Tom Cruise of the same name in the movies

reply

That could be.
