Better than i expected...

I'm not a fan of throwing controversial topics into movies like politics, gay love scenes, etc. If they want to make a movie as successful as possible, you don't show 2 naked men in a shower together. Why?....because that doesn't entertain the masses, but only a smaller percentage of people. That being said, they immediately made it clear the two lead characters were in a gay relationship and the description of the movie makes that clear as well. I respect that a lot. Most movies and TV shows lately, hide those type of details until you are halfway through it or several episodes in it and then try to shove it down your throat. I applaud them for being straight forward. The movie itself I really enjoyed. I don't want to give any details away, but this is better than your average horror movie and they tie it up nicely in the end.

I'm interested in watching this movie, but don't want to see any gay homo scenes. How graphic are they, and are there many?

reply

There are only straight homo scenes, don't worry.

reply

Not very graphic. Mostly some kissing and just seeing the top of their bodies in shower together. Not graphic. I appreciate them being upfront about it and not trying to surprise us with it halfway through.

Why? Are you afraid you might get turned on?

reply

It was alright. I'd probably give a 6.5/10. But, yeah....better than I expected.

When I clicked on this I had no idea of anything. The blurb said Aaron and Malik move to a new town and find strange neighbors. It didn't occur to me that Malik was a guy until ... well, immediately. I like how they normalize the relationship. The movie is decent - kind of like a faux mashup of Get Out with a little Rosemary's Baby composition thrown in. I would have liked a little more details about the town but it was better than I expected (since I had no expectations).
