What about a reunion with Beverly?

The two of them were very close. One version of the future had them marry and divorce. The writers just haven't gotten there yet?

many women (and some men) chose to retire from acting, rather than appear onscreen as "very old"

This is 4 months old. I doubt if she could say more once she has a contract.

Ahead of her appearance in for a GalaxyCon virtual panel on Sunday, Gates McFadden talked with TrekMovie about how Beverly Crusher’s character changed over the course of TNG, and not for the better.

The character [had] become matron-like, and it was just weird. I was no longer really the love interest of Picard and that was one of the primary things—I was hired by Gene [Roddenberry] himself as the love interest of Picard. That got changed. And that wasn’t changed by me.

Has she been tapped to appear on Star Trek: Picard season two?

Well, I don’t know. There’s a good chance, let’s put it that way. But I have no contract signed.

reply

I hope she does show up. Of all the TNG regulars, she was the one I was most hoping would show up in season 1, but I was very happy with the Riker and Troi reunion scenes.

reply

Supposedly Worf is the next to make an appearance. I had heard Janeway might show up as well.

reply

In the first season seems like Crusher was living with Will if I remember correctly. I didn't pay a lot of attention to it because the series sucked and I never liked Picard at all, ever.

Was Picard ever confirmed to be Wesley's real father? From what I remember they seemed to be subtly hinting at that - Big Bev was always having chats with him about the lad...

Anyway if so a reunion could be interesting. Although isn't Picard a robot now?

reply

Picard was only a father figure. Wesley's father appeared in one of the episodes.

reply

Really? I didn't watch all of the Next Generation...

But I thought he was dead and Wesley was demi-orphaned. Was it a flashback or time travel?

reply

He is dead, but Wesley saw him during a vision quest. I think that was the last episode Wesley appears in.

It's this episode:

reply

I think they had an episode during the first season where he was re-created on the holodeck.

reply

Picard a new Guinan had a romantic relationship and she's appearing this season.
