Q needs to show up at least once on this show to bring the series full circle.

That could be interesting. Last I saw, John de Lance is showing his age. Going to be hard to pull him off as an immortal.

Maybe they could incorporate his age into the story. Perhaps Q has some disease that causes him to age rapidly and he wants to spend his remaining time with Picard before his existence comes to an end and maybe pass the torch onto his son Q2.

Or Q and Data are both going out of their way to look old so decrepit Picard doesn’t feel so bad.

The scene could start like this.
Q flashes in
Q "Picard just look at you"
Picard "I could say the same about you"
Q "Oh this, well I thought it necessary given the circumstances."

One of the rumors is he does show up in the last episode of the season. I don't know how they're going to explain his aging, though.

The trial never ended, Picard!

Full circle would be incredible if he opened with that line when he makes his inevitable appearance.
