love the alternate history type shows. high production values. great acting. a little more suspenseful because you don't know how it's going to turn out. a little over the top on the drama at times, like how can so many things go wrong at once....

I just binge watched all the episodes to date over the weekend and fully agree. Season 2 is even better than season 1 so far and I'm excited to see what happens next.
shareWell, more happened in season 2 than season 1, but season 2 would not have been so good if not for the long setup and orientation of season 1. The characters were written and acted so well ... very impressive. The plot was brilliant.

Okay I just finished season 2 and what a ride the two season were. Absolutely ended up loving the show. I got really emotionally invested with the characters and there were scenes that broke my heart. Looking forward to season 3.

The science is not so good in the show. I do like the soap opera parts though.
shareThey actually used a real NASA astronaut as a technical advisor for this show. Most of the time this part of the show seems pretty authentic but sure, some of it is a little off.
I do think that first season had some really great space moments, but they pretty much abandoned the space stuff for season 2. Sucks really, now it's just daytime TV for the most part. Season one and season two are extremely different. It almost doesn't even feel like the same show. But season one had a very 2001: A Space Odyssey feel to it. I really liked it...
I did decide to watch episode 6 of S2, but that's all. I'm pretty much done with this show.

Fair assessments but I do think you're nitpicking just a bit. Like with most sci-fi movies, they have to take some liberties with space travel and whatnot. I still think the best parts of this series have involved space traveling. Very 2001:ASO feel to it, which, I really liked 2001.
Either way, I'm done with this show. First season will be remembered as quality stuff but that's about it. Apparently, they're going to release a season 3 but I'll pass on it.

Not nitpicking at all I think. I think every one of these problems was a result of the producers picking style over substance or thinking the audience was not smart enough to see when they were too lazy to depict something more realistic.
I will watch it until it no longer holds my interest. That is how I watch all TV shows.
Truth is, a lot of people really aren't smart enough to know the difference. I mean, how many people actually know something about rockets and space travel etc...?
