why is this board so empty...?

ain't people excited for part II ?

reply

meh. I want National Treasure 3.

I guess so. I thought the storyline from when they were kids was better though.

reply

I feel like they kind of screwed up Part I because the story separates adults from kids... and not Part II may be less compelling than the book.

The kids’ story was always the more fascinating and compelling one. Young kids being terrorized by a supernatural entity/force is in many ways more chilling.

Even so, I am excited to see how this sequel is going to handle the storyline with them as adults (which is powerful in the novel). I am loving the older cast ... McAvoy, Chastain and Hader ftw... and I look forward to seeing their characters’ story.

In regards to the action (or lack thereof) on this board, you can bet once the trailer for the movie drops and its release date faster approaches, the excitement and interest in this sequel will start to show; customarily, the mandatory online hate will be part of that conversation. Whether 2 reaches the heights of its predecessor or not, you can bet audiences will be flocking to see it.

I still haven't watched Part 1 so no not really excited

I've been eagerly awaiting this movie since the first one came out, I'm hyped for it.

Or rather, I WAS hyped for it until I found out that it may in fact suck, as the screenwriter behind The Nun and the Annabelle movies is behind it. Now, I'm fearful it will flop.

reply

probably be more people talking about it if the (((overlords))) didn't ban imdb forums

reply

I'll go see it. Looking forward to it, for sure.

The problem the Tim Curry mini-series thing had, was that the children's bits was far more interesting than the adults bit. Not read the book, so am not sure if that was a problem with the story, or just the television adaptation.

Enjoyed the first movie, and hope to enjoy the second. But have a slight concern that the sequel with have the same problem. I hope to be wrong.
