...bad. Like, REALLY bad. Surprisingly bad. It makes The Dark Knight look like a genius film.

Yeah, I think the filmmakers probably predicted there would be viewers such as yourself, expecting a Batman offshoot (and fitting in with the rest of the Gotham Universe as we know it from our current collection of Batman and DC/Gotham-related materials).
I think they did their best to inform us of all'a that in the trailers. I got it, so when I viewed the film, I was not expecting that. And guess what: I was rewarded with something that was NOT that (as expected) AND it was not just different, but great. I loved it.
So don't be surprised if you're sitting there in a small group, because I think you'll notice -- from both word of mouth, the IMDb ratings, and the awards it will win -- that most of us agree that it is indeed a great film.

Yeah, it was not the lack of batman. The movie is just not veery interesting. An unnecessary homage to taxi driver and king of comedy. Shallow trite.

2/10 - “Burlesque” and “Terminator: Genisys”
1/10 - “Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close” and “The Blind Side”

Your rating list is really subjective and has no objective merit at all. You have never seen the really bad movies I've seen, all the movies on your list are well made, well produced filmed directed and acted. So when you rate them from one to ten it is just your personal taste and nothing else.

shareI fell for the Lighthouse hype because I saw the Witch movie the director made and thought it was good. The Lighthose was just bad. I suppose that is keeping me from experimenting on seeing if this movie.I think it would just be another Lightjhouse movie.
