This movie is gonna bring in the bucks.
I'll definitely check it out, but it seems like decades since Eddie's been laugh out loud funny. I know some people might disagree with that. Plus, John Landis is not there and believe me he adds a lot to the films he directs.

Eddie has come down with the Chevy Chase disease. Very common among performers who were once funny but became so convinced of their own human superiority that they lost the humility that makes their characters funny.

I think you nailed it. I've for years tried to figure out what it is that makes these guys lose the funny.
