He's a fun actor. Love him in any show/movie he's in. He can play the good guy, bad guy, funny guy, and someone who deals in the grey area of good/bad/law.

This wouldn't be a modern flick, unless a White character, who's surname also happens to be White, was portrayed by a Black man
shareAs much as i hate the PC wokes weird obsession with race/gender/sexuality swapping anything that's white, straight and has a penis i'm ok with this. It's a side character and i like the actor after having seen him in Jack Ryan.

Deja Vu for me. I heard the SAME thing in 2013 when I found out Perry White would be like... Laurence Fishburne?!?! My reaction was "WTF?". The Snyderites shrugged it off with "eh, I'm OK with that, its just a small supporting role and Laurence will be perfect for those types of world-wary roles".
Looking back in hindsight, it was the FIRST sign that the "reboot" would suck. Just try to imagine Fishburne exclaiming "Great Caesar's Ghost!" if you think its faithful to the source material.
Race, gender and sexuality changes to characters bother me in general because it's never done for the sake of quality or improving the product in any way. It has nothing to do with entertainment or fans. Honestly these days i think studios are so drunk on the woke agendas kool-aid that they don't give a shit what fans want. It's just somebodies selfish pretentious need to shoehorn their identity politics into the mix. I can look past it on those rare occasions when it works like here or Denzel Washington as the Equalizer.
Good casting.

Apparently casting a black Perry White, having a textured Superman suit or having Lois know Clark is Superman is somehow automatically ripping off Snyderverse.
Can see his Perry White being an Alex Jones like figure.
