Last year, Bull character was too stiff. Seems like they are letting weatherly have more fun with it this season and getting some Dinozzo character get in there
shareI think it's improved too, the show was starting to get predictable last season and some of the cases were a bit complicated but the cases this year are more realistic. I wonder what happened to Eliza Dushku, thought she was going to join the show but she hasn't been on the show in season 2.

shareI think your last sentence was exactly WHY he was so stiff in Season 1. He had JUST left NCIS, was on right AFTER NCIS and I think they really, really wanted to distance Weatherly and Bull from DiNozzo or else everyone would complain "If he's just going to play Tony, why did he leave NCIS?".
Now, a year has passed and they can loosen up a little and let Weatherly be Weatherly.
Yup you are probably spot on there. Also agree with other posters in that the writing has gotten better as well.

A little better. I was going to give up in season one then Eliza Dushku turned up. Season two just seems more comfortable - though it's just
a pretty routine show and I wouldn't miss it if they did cancel.
