There a good explanation or reason as to why she was in her underwear the whole time in the movie?

There's no need to call her that. Besides, why would they want her to do it nude? It's a PG-13 movie.

The explanation came at one moment in the movie in which she asks some guy to remove his pants cause he won't fit in the suit. So basically, its easier to get in and out of a suit.
Real reason, we all know what it is. And to be fair, she's sexy as fuck.

Because the movie started out with her in the bathroom getting ready for her shift. She's at the sink with her bra and sweatpants on brushing her teeth, and then all hell breaks loose. She didn't even have time to put some shoes on. And then when they were putting the underwater suits on it was made clear that having clothes on would make the suits too tight. So then at that point everyone is in their underwear. Just an excuse to show hot bodies running around. That's all.
