The trailers and tv spots are a little crazy, aren’t they? Haha
But don’t worry, you are wrong. :) A lot of the positive reviews are praising it for keeping the humor clever, straightforward, and thoroughly funny. Perhaps it’s being considered “slightly” wackier, however the consensus is that it builds upon what the original did. You won’t see many reviewers claiming it goes to extreme lengths such as the likes of Deadpool or the MCU’s own Thor: Ragnarok, so you shouldn’t expect this sequel to take the piss out of superhero films any more than the first Ant-Man. If this sequel pokes fun at anyone in particular, it’s the lovable, gets-the-job-done but clumsy Scott Lang himself.
A perfect MCU, or better yet, Ant-Man film.
