Perfect casting. Sure, it is yet to be seen how she’ll do in the role, but I have no doubt Michelle will be more than suitable as Janet van Dyne. It’s simply great to know she is going to be a part of the movie and the MCU in general.

Agreed, I think she will have great chemistry with Michael Douglas. And it will also be interesting to see what the interactions are between Evangeline Lilly and her "long Lost Mother".

Yes she has. There’s some set photos of her with Douglas. And what I meant is even though the movie is months away and no footage from it has been shown, I feel/know Michelle is going to own the role of Janet.

If the movie has a flashback with Janet and Hank, then we can certainly expect to see a de-aged Pfeiffer. It goes without saying that they did an impressive job de-aging Michael Douglas in the first Ant-Man (by the same team that de-aged Downey Jr. in Civil War), so I can totally see them doing a young Pfeiffer justice.
I think she will do good, but I think she will only be in it in flashbacks. Remember she shrank down to nothing according to Hank Pym.
shareFlashback scenes with her character are something I do expect to see. However, word is her character will be brought back from the quantum realm. Nothing’s certain right now, but in whatever form Michelle appears, seeing her as Janet should be interesting..
