shareNope. The super soldier serum is self sustaining and self replicating. The infusion that Steve received bonded with his DNA and produced his abilities. I don't believe that the serum wears off, but I believe it might lessen in strength over the years, hence his advanced age at the end of "Endgame". If the serum had worn off, he would have aged more (or possibly have died before he could see his team again) and not been as physically able to do what he can do.

shareI am not saying that Stan Lee is wrong. I have never read where he said that about the super soldier serum. Could you link me to the article in which he says that? I would love to read it. As far as I know from what I read years ago in the comics, a scientist referred to Steve's serum infused blood was self replicating, just like your blood cells replicate themselves. Otherwise you would never heal from any wounds you receive.
Interesting note about Steve's healing factor. It is faster than an ordinary human's, but not as fast as the Hulk's, Sabertooth's or Wolverine's healing factor.
What the TC says remind me of old 60s comics where there would be some villain or villains who would say, "I can defeat Captain America. He's only a normal person." Then they get the crap beaten out of them by him.
