Should Blade return?

Wesley is down. Marvel has the rights back too. He could become the new anchor character.

We already have aliens, magic, time travel and mutants... Do we really need to bring vampires too? I don't think so.

Maybe a spin off like Justice League Dark, (but Marvel, so it's Avengers Dark) a crossover between Blade and Ghost Rider might be interesting.

Jared Leto is starring in a Morbius movie, currently being filmed:

So, they could definitely go down the path of a "Avengers Dark" story line...

Blade
Morbius
Wolfsbane ...(now that they have rights to X-Men/mutants)
Dracula ...(yes, for those who don't, he is a Marvel character)
Frankenstein ...(yes, he is also a Marvel character)

Maybe Man-Thing too.

Not sure Ghost Rider would be a good fit for the team initially, but I'd love to see the character show up in at least a cameo at some point.

I agree i would pay gold to see Ghost Rider in the MCU , they could introduce him in Doctor Strange 2

reply

They are making a Ghostrider TV series.

reply

Yes a TV show which is based on Robbie Reyes and not Johnny Blaze , i just want to see the original Ghost Rider in the MCU done right.

reply

The Morbius movie is part of the Sony "Spider-Man Universe" movies and won't take place in the MCU.

reply

Ooops, scratch Morbius then.

They still got plenty of vamps with Blade and Dracula.

reply

Not sure what you mean , you mean Raimi Spider-Man or Garfield ?

reply

Neither. It will be a part of the universe containing Venom, Black Cat, etc. Essentially it's a Spider-Man universe without Spider-Man.

reply

A Spider-Man universe without Spider-Man sounds stupid , all those movies are going to flop

reply

Venom did surprisingly well but I agree, it's a bad idea.

reply

Hell yes! The first Blade is a favorite of mine.

Snipes is a bit too old now, as awesome as he is. I think it would be best to recast someone younger and reboot the franchise for the MCU.

reply

Snipes shouldn't have anything to do with Blade, if it does. This is new territory, and a new actor should be cast to reflect that.

That being said, I'm not sure how I feel about Blade in the MCU... I mean... Are we all really gonna be okay with them just saying "oh by the way, there's been vampires this whole time!"?

reply

Good point. The Marvel Universe has more to do with aliens than it does vampires. I don't really see Blade co-existing in their universe. He lives in his own.

As for Snipes, I have no issue with his age. Denzel has shown us in The Equalizer that age doesn't really matter. Plus Snipes looks pretty good for his age. If need be, a little CGI could be used to make him younger, given that Blade is meant to be immortal.
