Does anyone else feel Endgame should end the MCU?

I've always said the MCU is kinda like Pulp Fiction, a bunch of random stories that seem completely unrelated, but eventually merge into one story. And Endgame was the perfect conclusion, and I think they should end it with dignity, to avoid ruining it like Star Wars.

no. to me Endgame feels like the end of a 22 season of a tv show. 1 movie = 1 episode. so it feels like a series finale.

There's too many new and old interesting characters (Strange, BP, SM, Guardians left the story open for Vol3, CM just to name a few). But with the death of Iron Man and Captain America growing old they did provide a closure to an important part of the MCU story.

I'm afraid the MCU is a permanent addition to Hollywood. They will be making Marvel films for as long as they're making movies. But this is certainly the end of the Infinity Saga or whatever they decide to call it.

reply

Phase 1-3 is called the Infinity Saga.

reply

Actually, spiderman 2 is the end of phase 3.

No, I'm up for the further adventures of Thor, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, and Captain Marvel, even if nobody else is.

As for the Avengers, I'm sorry to see them go, but I admire the people at Marvel Films for putting their best into finishing the story, instead of squeezing every last embarrassing drop out of the property the way most production companies would. The Avengers aren't going to turn into the Pirates of the Caribbean.
