Where does Hulk rank on the MCU power scale?

Let's face it: because Hulk doesn't have his own movie series, his current purpose is to be a punching bag that makes other characters look more powerful.

Thor, Thanos, Iron Man and The Scarlet Witch have laid him out easily... who else do you think could slap him down?

Ebony Maw? Doctor Strange? Cull Obsidian? The Vision? Ant-Man? Hela? Valkyrie?

reply

Strange, Vision and Hela certainly...Valkyrie, Ant Man and Cull Obsidian probably not.

Ebony Maw is probably 50/50.

Um, Thor overpowered Hulk and beat him down until he was stopped by the Grandmaster.

UM, Scarlet Witch took over his mind easily. 'nuff said. Hulk was completely incapable of defending against that.

UMMMM, Iron Man clearly beat him in "Age of Ultron". Don't make excuses like a little bitch, just deal with it.

UMMMMMMMM! Iron Man, in his latest version of his suit, went toe-to-toe with Thanos, who was using the Infinity Stones ... the same guy who beat Hulk to a pulp within 10-seconds only using his hands.

Hulk isn't going to marry you, dude, and all of the excuses in the world don't change the clear beatings he took in those films I mentioned.

Thanks for playing.

Hawkeye, Spider-Man, and Hulk are all on the same power level? Drax and Daredevil are equals? Rocket Raccoon is more powerful than Luke Cage? What is your criteria?

reply

Basically:

1) How long they take to finally get into the battle
2) How powerful they are throughout the battle
3) Are they consistently powerful throughout the battle
4) How many times do they get knocked out, tossed away, or stomped on
5) Does their power actually help the team or are they more of a stumbling block/huge risk

Seems like everytime I look, Luke Cage is getting smashed by a semi truck and driven to the next town over while everyone else is wondering where the heck he went.

OK, Stan should be WAY higher on that list.

Captain America is not super human

It was surprising to see Thanos treat Hulk like a plaything. Even Hulk was surprised he actually felt pain from Thanos' punches.

But from what I've been reading, Thanos and Hulk, as base level, are quite similar in strength. One positive for Hulk is, he can get much stronger the angrier he gets (not shown so far in the MCU but could be introduced later).

Two positives for Thanos is that he's been alive a LOOOONG time, and is a supreme technical fighter. You can see how disciplined and precise his moves were vs. Hulk. Hulk is strong, but sloppy and random. Thanos is experienced, trained and has battled the greatest warriors in the universe, and has the mental edge.

Also, at that point, he already had one of the Infinity Stones which also granted him a boost.
