whos that random guy that tried to stop Baby?

is he an off duty cop, if not how is he able to be at the scene of the second heist? I thought there will be more to it and he would show up again but its strange that his appearance is a one-off deal.

I also thought he strongly resembled Denzel Washington, but looking closely, it is plain to see that he isn't.

I think Jamie Foxx referred to him as "G I Joe", so he apparently thought he was military.

Must have been an employee of the company whose money was on the truck, an ex-military guy. They could have explained it better -- I originally thought it was another gang trying to rob the truck.
