This dreck doesn't deserve to be acknowledged or responded to.

reply

On the contrary...these assholes think people like me who AREN’T white...aren’t the problem.

Wrong...the entire SW fandom is their problem.

We don’t tolerate SHIT storytelling.

No matter WHAT our color is.

These assholes better understand that if they don’t want their livelihood fucked up the ass.

reply

I don't see how your comment has anything to do with mine, as I don't disagree.

reply

Just sayin' that these assholes SHOULD be responded to...so we can throw their predictable response back in their ignorant faces.

"You're all old fart sexists, misogynistic losers who fear strong women!"

To which I can point out characters of my old fart generation these shitheads forgot whom we flocked to the theatres to cheer on:

SARAH CONNOR and ELLEN RIPLEY.

It's funny how the article she wrote has no space for comments by readers. Much like a lot of opinion pieces now that don't allow for the opinions of other people. People fear criticism now. Let's allow her to vent her opinions in her article, but not allow these supposed "racist" and "sexist" white men to defend themselves.

I am continually fascinated by the fact that people can't handle online criticism. I'm not saying attacking people on the internet is right in any case, but the thin skin of people online has reached epic proportions.

I wish I could tell this lady that I really disliked her article, because it generalized a race of people, much like the generalizations of "racism" and "sexism" she is attacking in the article.

White men are the problem? After reading this lady's article...I think PEOPLE are the problem.

The Last Jedi was entertaining, but it did shit all over a lot of mythology of The Star Wars original trilogy, and I'm not much of a fan of many of the new characters, not because they are a specific race or gender...they just aren't interesting, and a few are downright annoying.

None of this has me on the internet harassing people, but after watching TLJ, I have no desire to watch the next movie.

I like how she says the term “fandom problem” is too general so she instead blames an entire demographic. This person should read up on fandoms from Asia if they think this sort of behavior only exists among white males.

For the record, I am against sending threats online. This article, for some reason, lumps normal criticism in the same category as harrassment.

Clicked on the authors link, read she’s a third waved feminist, noticed she disabled comments, didn’t read her weirdo shit.

reply

She got your click though. And this is a huge problem with the internet: why clickbait and race baiting articles like this thrive. And I'm not saying your shouldn't have clicked as how can you tell an article is trash until you read it? But this is how it
works now, they don't care if you're agreeing with the article or are pissed off by it, just so long as they get your eyeballs on the page. This is why sensible, even handed reporting is dead and sensationalist racist crap like this continues to propagate.

Very true, next time I'll wait for ComicArtistPro to cover it on his YouTube page, if you havent heard of him check him out, he covers pathetic SJW Star Wars articles like this all the time. https://www.youtube.com/user/fascistfrog

EVS? Yeah I really like his stuff, very entertaining. I find it interesting that Youtube seems to be the home of the 'Anti Star Wars' crowd whereas the pro crowd seems to be on twitter and the blogosphere. Not sure why that is. Twitter I get - seeing as you can't write anything more than 360 characters it's perfect for people that like overly simplistic arguments but I don't why the more traditional websites are all so hail corporate. Just had a look and Mauler's TLJ rant has 750k views and this is just some guy that nobody had even heard of until recently. Pretty sure people like him are only getting this kind of exposure because of the complete absence of even handed coverage elsewhere.

Uncle Ethan really breaks down the propaganda too. It's great. #CyberFrog

No, Star Wars has a "fanbase that hates shitty movies" problem
