Hopefully, there won't be blowback from Italians because Driver isn't Italian. And, he has never run an auto empire. I thought that you now have to be exactly like the character you are playing to be acceptable now. 😂

Italians are white. Driver is white.
He could be 100% Italian, a very ugly one.
As long as he does not use that inesplicable accent he did as Gucci, which was as Italian as a cheeseburger.

Reviewers have commented that he doesn't try an accent. But, he does talk in a quiet voice.
