The Vultures waiting outside the stadium is so dumb

So they just planned to sit there day after day waiting and waiting till the day their community inside the stadium falls? But at the same time they're allowing them to go out on runs and bring back supplies so they can keep their community running? Huh?

It would make some sense if the Vultures surrounded the place and refused to let them leave and starved them out, but thats not the case, they clearly allow them to leave and bring back food/supplies, it makes no sense. Hows the place gonna collapse if they keep letting them go out to bring back supplies and food?

Also what do the Vultures really hope to gain if it does fall? They have no food, its very low if they do, they don't really have anything of much value. They're acting as if its a goldmine inside that stadium when all i see in it is dirt, some old makeshift housing with some curtains and a small garden.

Definitely not worth perching yourself outside it permanently waiting for the whole community to eventually fall which could take months or even years depending on how good they can keep it going.

Yeah I'd been wondering about that.

Waiting for their collapse so they can take all the food they don't have??

The only way it kind of makes a little sense is if they wanted the stadium for themselves? But I don't think that's the case as they've apparently done this before moving from one failed settlement to the next.

reply

They already got the food from the surrounding area, that's why they let them go out on runs. I think the Vultures want to use the stadium to put in all the zombies they've collected.

reply

It is not very well thought out. When the community eventually falls, what is left on the bones to pick?

reply

They have large generators and a machine shop in the stadium, plus all kinds of tools and weapons. Stuff that would be too valuable for a functional community to trade away.

reply

I don't buy that. Generators, tools, all kinds of stuff are readily available to scrounge. Food is the only commodity that is truly valuable because it is perishable and finite. The ability to grow their own food is worth fighting over. But our gang is failing at that.

reply

Yeah, it doesn't make much sense that Mel and company would allow the stadium dwellers to go out and get supplies, especially if they're supposed to be holding out for them to die off from starvation. Very strange writing and it was confusing to see the gang walking right past Mel's group without worrying of getting shot.

reply

The only way it would work is if they picked off each scavenging party as they returned, slowly reducing the groups numbers.

As it is, it's a idea that wasn't vetted well enough before being scripted.

reply

I agree- why didn't the Vultures just storm the stadium? Oh , I know, so that Madison, the schmuck had to appear all big and bad 🙄
