maybe theyd get the other John Wick guy to direct

They really want to fast track another Jurassic World film from a franchise that looks like it's on its last legs and has been a critical failure ever since the first one? Good luck with this being good. You already know it's a bad sign when directors are being replaced.

reply

Love all the movies but this franchise has been milked for all its worth. They already rolled out the nostalgia reunion of the OG cast. That's the last card in the deck.

reply

Cast Jason Statham. That might get people's attention.

reply

Why do they pick a release date before they even start shooting? It's a recipe for disaster and will force them to rush the film.

reply

I feel like all the dinosaur CGI stuff must already be in production. They just need to slap some footage of actors running around screaming to sell it. Get an affordable famous face. Shots of people standing around talking and pointing at computers. Off to the green screen stages. Movie's already pre-made.

reply

They probably do do that to some extent like using the dinos as a template and they can just manipulate the animation.

reply

Damn that was fast. They should just push it to 2026 and not be so greedy. The last one made a billion right after the pandemic (despite no one liking it apparently).

reply

Last one made a billion solely because everyone was hyped to see the OG cast back. Neill, Dern, and Goldblum. That was the excitement.

reply

Now they got Gareth Edwards to direct it. Better choice imo.

reply

Wow, the Godzilla/Rogue 1 guy, now that is a big upgrade (over the previous JW directors too)

reply

I know right? And while I know his newest film The Creator was a box office flop, it looked incredible. Edwards knows how to make his movies look and sound amazing in an era where a lot of blockbusters just kind of blend together-in terms of visual aesthetics.

reply

Looks we'll be finally getting some epic looking Jurassic imagery since really the 1st movie

reply

Hopefully, unless the studio gets cold feet and takes scissors to it.

reply

I loved The Creator. He's definitely a good pick to direct the next JW.
