REALLY bad acting from the lead

I feel so sorry for the kid who is 15 now . He was not ready for a feature film debut, he just did not have the acting skill to carry a film. The kid needed more experience, he needed to do a few stage play to own his skills before being put in a situation where he is put front and center as the lead of a film. The Casting director for the film should be fired from making any other casting decisions. Artemis as played by the actor is bland, VERY bland. All his lines deliveries are monotone. What makes it worse is that all the other characters in the film sells Artemis as that exceptional boy, as that "Criminal Mastermind" but all we see is a kid with no personality that reads from a script. It is really hard to care for a film when you have the lead that makes no effort to give his character any sorts of personality

That's not casting director fault.

Right now, white males in Hollywood must be either look like psychopaths or like cucks. Try to find any white male actor under 40 that doesn't fit in any of those two categories. Unless we're talking about old guys, most white males leads in Hollywood look like cucks.

The casting director cast a bland guy because that's what expected from him. He was just doing his job.

I think most "actors" are chosen from modeling catalogs. I wonder if any of these casting directors ever go to where actual acting is done, like in live theater, to find new actors.

This thing's getting CLOBBERED in the reviews!

The actors are ok. The movie was just shit. Missed opportunity.

So true that kid had no business being a lead in anything he was just weak but the horrible movie and script didn't help either.

Crazy problem. The filming started right when the kid hit a growth spurt. Depending on the scene he either looks like a pre-tween or a teenager!!! That being said, I do see potential in his acting. Maybe a few years from now he will be a successful actor and laugh about his first ill-fated acting attempt.
