While it's unlikely they're reshooting scenes presently, I'd totally believe they preemptively reshot much of the movie in preparation for the "leak" which I'd also totally believe was intentional and to gauge reactions. Real world focus group testing. Art by spitballing.

Their "vision" remains simply "make money", not "salvage the story" or even "make a good movie". They're treating the franchise so dismissively, and this former fan isn't fooled.
