I noticed that my post of a few years ago has been deleted so I decided to remind all of you out there of my opinion. For years my pick for worst film was the musical Moulin Rouge. I never dreamed that Wes Anderson would knock that one off its pedestal. So, I posted again to balance the scales a little for this worthless piece of candy-colored nonsense. Enjoy.

shareIt can. Citizen Kane is a bad movie that does not deserve the praise it has and only gets it because it invented some new techniques in filming that werent used before. This movie wasnt one of those though. It was actually good (not great, but good enough where people could rate it high).

I appreciate it's a matter of taste, but if those two are the worst movies ever I suspect the OP hasn't seen very many movies.

But it doesn't matter. Just people having different tastes. No big deal.
There is nowhere near one of the worst movies of all time. There are thousands of movies that are not as good as this film. Maybe you need to watch more movies.
shareYeah I definitely didn't care for this movie as much as most people. I'd definitely not put it in the top 250 of all time, like IMDb users have.. but worst movie of all time? No way. Not even close.
shareI didnt like the movie either, and I generally like quirky culty films. I found this one dull and ultimately pointless.
It just didnt connect with me, I generally find that true of WA's films, even though they seem like the sort of thing I'd normally like.
Every time someone proclaims something is "the worst movie of all time" i ask them if its "black ribbon" and if its not i know its safe to dismiss them as havent seen enough movies.
