I find it hard to believe that Noomi Rapace can beat anyone up

It's like Jason Bourne - he keeps smacking bad guys like punchbags but I really never found it too plausible that Matt Damon is some heavily skilled martial arts expert. He looks like a choir boy.

Yeah, right.

Same goes for Zoe Saldana in Colombiana.

Or Keanu in John Wick - that's a good one... :D

If these people can beat anybody up than I am Pope Francis of Rome.

Agreed. Gimme some people who look convincing. The thin long legged hotty kickin ass looks good in comics and on paper but for once I'd like to see a man and woman cast who have mass/weight/strength.

"Can you summon demons wizard...?"

No its very clear she isnt a skilled fighter, first she was almost captured by the 2 cops at the laundry if not for Jack's( Orlando Bloom) help, later we see that she is rather easily subdued by him and would have died at his hands if not for the intervention of the dog owner.

She sure was lucky a revenge minded gun owner (in the UK no less) with two Rottweilers happened into the elevator on its way down to her certain death. I know all movies depend on contrivances but, that was a massively artificial coincidence.

I suppose in order for people like the OP to accept that one person in a movie can take on and beat up numerous trained assassins/fighters at the same time, he or she needs to look like Schwarzenegger did back in the day. If you ain't covered with huge muscles, then bitch please. As for me, thinner people that are skilled fighters have no less of a chance being able to simultaneously take on multiple opponents and beat them than someone who's all muscle. Although this obviously is all pretend, point is the flexibility, endurance, speed and overall techniques many of these modern action heroes use and show to fight off enemies, results in badass and relatively convincing fights. Unarguably it's a stretch when most women are shown easily taking out people twice their size, but they’re part of a movie after all—it's fun to watch. Besides, if stronger looking male characters are always shown doing things that are too unrealistic even for them, then I have no problem seeing overpowered gals kick ass.

Yes, I can see why to certain people the muscle bound types appear to be naturally more capable of beating anyone up and by the hundreds. But again, realistically I don't see how they would fare better in these situations than someone who's lean, mean, generally quicker, and knows how to handle oneself. An important thing that pertains to this, is a lot of the actors cast in Jason Bourne-type roles, genuinely look like they can perform the stunts and martial arts they are seen doing, whereas it would actually look more unconvincing for someone a lot bigger to pull it off (not saying that's true for every bodybuilder, but you get the point). I know, gotta miss the days when actors that looked nothing like the average person would normally cast in such roles (damn you Bruce Willis!). XD

But anyway, this clearly all comes down to preferences and ability to suspend your disbelief. And oh, I would bet good money a lot of these twerps" playing lethal weapons could take on plenty of their doubters with no problem. ;)

It doesn't matter how super-jacked or trained any of these people are, I want to say that two or three trained guys will take them down. These fights would go to the ground, then you have the stomping, and it's over. One dude tangles you up, the other wails on you, it's over. You got six fists coming at you? You have a guy pinning down half your body whilst also kneeing you? It's over.

The difference between males and females is that if a man delivers a blow, it can cause damage. He does not have to be unusually big or strong or trained. A guy who is 5'6" 155lbs is little, but he's not nuthin'. He's a helluva lot more dangerous than Charlize Theron. The average man's grip strength is in the 99th percentile of females.

It really doesn't matter if you find someone that is a great fighter or not ... sooner or later they get careless, or slip, or tired, and they make a mistake - anyone. The idea that there are these super fighters is wrong ... there are super-cheaters that know how to shortcut fights, but no one takes on 20 guys at once and walked away unscathed.

Then there is the thing where injured characters just get up and walk away and within a few minutes forget out their gunshots, knife wounds or bruises. Movies are crap for relying on this BS.

Keanu is actually a martial artist and performs a lot of his own stunts.

Just the usual feminist nonsense.
