Kinda missing the Danno/Steve episodes

The show started out with Steve and Danno, PARTNERS.

Now danny is not only not in most eps, but they are not even explaining why he is not there. This last one, there was going to be a terror attack on the island, and Steve did not contact his PARTNER!? Who has kids, an ex-wife, AND a gf, etc....on the island??? LOL

It's getting embarrassing, I know the actor wants less screen time for his personal reasons....but you are playing one of the main roles.

Can't they put a story line for him....rachel wants sole custody.....so that when he has to shoot his solo scenes it makes sense? Heck have him go back to the mainland. But the way they are doing it now is just bs .......

Yeh, definitely noticed Danny's absence in the last episode! He is one of the main characters.

With a possible terror attack on the island, Steve should have at least made a phone call to Danny if it was his day off. Or at least someone could have said, "Good thing Danny went back to New Jersey to take his kids to see their grandparents."

It's rather awkard when a main character is nowhere to be seen.

I am missing these as well.

I read that Scott Caan negotiated for less time on the show. "“I do five episodes less than [series star] Alex [O’Loughlin],” said Caan, who lives in Los Angeles while the show shoots in Hawaii. “I just do a couple episodes less so I can come home to see my family and stuff. They were cool about it so we just all came to that.”

I also read something about him wanting time off to be with his family. That's good that he wants to be home with family and he put them ahead of his job.

It's just no fun for us viewers who enjoy the Steve/Danno matchup! haha

Better than if he opted to leave like George Eads did on MacGyver.

I wonder if there was a falling out between the leads.

I'm watching some reruns on tv from the early seasons. Forgot how good this show was.
