ridiculous

On board with the first 90% of the episode, but that last segment... Ugh.

Was expecting Daryl to look for Rick to free him.

So Rick just disappears forever apparently? And Anne/Jadis too? And on a helicopter that's still not really explained? The only good thing about this is it leaves the door open for him to return. Hope he does at some point, but it'll pretty much have to be the last episode, or it'd not make sense for him to return just for one. And he needs to, or the open ending won't have much pay-off.

Especially after the whole episode made it feel like he was dying for sure. And what will the others think happened to Anne?

Cried like a baby the whole Hershel scene.

You can tell it's TV and goes by available casting, Carl, Lori, many others would make more sense for him to envision than Sasha, or even Hershel and Shane.

Another time jump? Oye. During which no main characters die. Or Morgan ever returns.

I won't because I'm a completionist, but tonight is probably the closest I've ever been to jumping ship.

You’re a DOLT

Ouch?

The dude writes a long, thoughtful post explaining his feeling about the episode... you reply with "You're a DOLT". I love how you didn't even bother putting a period at the end. Nice little touch to accentuate your retardation.

You... my friend... are the dolt.

Rick's never coming back on Walking Dead. Scott Gimple announced on Talking Dead that they're gonna make AMC original movie spinoffs from Walking Dead, the first couple is gonna be about Rick and show wherever he went to in the helicopter, so its gonna be explained sometime next year when the movie comes out.

So from what it sounds like Rick is gonna have his own story in another part of the country with whoever the people in the helicopter is.

They said Rick Grimes last episode in Walking Dead, but his character's gonna go on in the movies they make.

The elephant in the room that no one is explaining is...how in the world are they going to explain Rick not returning to or not wanting to see his current family and friends.
Amnesia?
Being held against his will?

The real Rick wouldn't settle on being whisked away for already 6 years without trying to return to them or somehow contacting them to know he's still alive.
This is harder for me to swallow then his surviving losing gallons of blood and blowing up a bridge and surviving.
All Carl did was stumble.

reply

They'll have to come up with some compelling explanation for that. After all, he won't be back on the main series even for the last episode? I find it hard to believe that they won't have him in the last episode.

reply

Yeah, they're saying he won't, but I figure unless you have a crystal ball, never say never until if/when the series ends.

Also I mostly stayed off such sites yesterday to avoid any potential spoilers, and I don't don't typically watch The Talking Dead, so my original post was before I was even aware of this news. Just not thrilled. We need less of this universe, not more. Soon AMC will be nothing but.

reply

I was thinking the same thing. Rick's sole purpose in life....would be to get back to Judith, Mischonne.....even Daryl and Carol. I wonder how they work around that.

reply

Never say never...even if it's just for the last episode when the series finally ends, I'd be surprised if he doesn't come back ever.

reply

He will. There's just no way around that, I believe.
