When did you stop watching?

I stopped watching once Glen died. I figured that was enough for the show. Did you stop watching? When? If you're still watching the show; what's your favorite part?
Are you also a fan of "Fear the Walking Dead?" Why?

reply

Im still watching and enjoying it but those critical of the show have made some solid points

I will continue watching through to the end

I was the same way with Battlestar Galactica. A lot of people didn't like that it continued for so long. Honestly, I wasn't bothered by it because I watched it after the series ended. Binging has a lot of benefits. I wonder if I'll feel the same way about Ash Vs. the Evil Dead.

reply

I loved the Evil Deads...Ash is in the same goofy, gory horror vein
Its really good fun

Some point in season 4 is when I stopped being interested. That was the last (mostly) full season I have watched, I've seen some of other seasons(Namely the err uh i dont remember the towns name, but when Carol went full badass as the town was attacked) but I don't care enough anymore to be invested it watching every episode. I'm glad others still get enjoyment out of it, if I need a walking dead fix I'll just rewatch the first 3 seasons or play the telltale game series.

Thank you, that's the one.

I haven't stopped! Haha! I plan to continue to watch until I don't like it anymore. I enjoy all parts of the show usually. I really want Negan dead though, and it seems like that won't happen. That MIGHT be my breaking point. I guess it all depends on how it's written.

I am watching FTWD too.

reply

I tried to watch FTWD, but it didn't click with me. What/who do you like about it?

reply

My favorite characters are Travis, Strand, and Nick. I HATE everything about Madison though. She makes it very hard to watch b/c she's so freaking awful. Sadly, I realized she was the show's "Rick," and she is such a horrible character in comparison to the awesomeness that is Rick!

There are some really good episodes though like the season before last w/Travis and the ppl hanging out w/his son. Don't want to spoil it but it was EPIC! You should give it another try. I don't like it as much as TWD, but I find it entertaining.

reply

I still watch but more out of habit with some hate watching from time to time.

reply

I get that way with last man on earth.

reply

never seen that show but the subject matter sounds interesting enough.

reply

It's an odd show with some good moments... It's getting hard to watch due to the fact that it's 4 years in. There was a big character progression last season with a time-lapse scroll. It wasn't the best decision. I hope they end the show with this season. That would be time to stop.

reply

may check it out if it comes to Netflix as I like will forte.

He can really make you feel uncomfortable in the right way. Kristin Schaal is a great counterpart to him. They are exceptionally talented at being weird.

I stopped watching 15 minutes into the pilot. The first 10 minutes of the show were some of the best TV ever, but then it got kinda slow and boring the last 5 so I stopped watching. Ever since I come back to message boards every episode waiting to see if the show has recaptured the magic of those first 10 minutes. But every week since then all I see is more people complaining about things on the show than people praising the show, so I assume it hasn't got better. Or maybe it's just that chronic complainers dominate message boards. Who knows?

reply

hmm some would say you didn't really give it a fair shot...15 minutes seems a little short to determine whether a TV show is good or not.

reply

Still watching but I'm sad to say that my interest is waning. I'd really like next season to be the last and have them wrap everything up so I can finish watching as a fan. I hate the thought of me just falling away from the show all together.

reply

I wish more shows would call it quits before it gets too stale, rather than milk the ratings. I am hoping this will be the last season for Criminal Minds and NCIS, but I think the latter may continue at the very least unless Harmon leaves.

reply

I agree, a show like Breaking Bad which is widely regarded as something special seemed to know from the beginning when it would want to end and it was a better show for it.

The big problem with Walking Dead is they go from battle to battle but they don't seem to be moving toward any particular goal.

reply

If they had announced the season 5 would have been the last I would have stuck it out another season. But with no end in sight and a cast of characters I actually liked shrinking and premise that is most ideal as a 2 hour movie being stretched for multiple season I just couldn't stick it out.

reply

End of Season 4 was it. I was watching out of habit and didn't really enjoy the show much at this point. Generally I keep going for most shows since I hate not finishing something, but i had lost too much interest at this point. I couldn't care less what would happen in Terminus.

I saw no reason to even start Fear the Walking Dead, similar show within the same world.
