Friday Box Office: Barbie 71 Million. Oppenheimer 33 Million..

MI 7 just 5 Million.

Barbie is killing the competition!

The WhiteWingers on Youtube are kinda quiet. There's also the sold out premieres Globally, and we know Whitewingers say "Globalism Baaaaaad!" Lulz

reply

Barbie has the potential to be a billion dollar hit.

It should get good word of mouth from young movie goers. Modern audiences appreciate a positive political message, so even if it is "woke" as the right wingers put it, that won't hurt it.

reply

So far, sure. The marketing was fiendishly good, it was always going to open strong.

But word is already spreading about how awful it is: https://youtu.be/7J7aJtGphVs

THAT GUY SUCKS...ALL YOU WRINKLE BALLED NEAR EXTINCT WHINERS LIKE THAT DOUCHEBAG.

He’s a normal person who naturally rejects woke, it’s only squealing soy-bitches like yourself who actually like taking woke up the ass over and over. Have some empathy for normal people.

YOU REPEAT YOURSELF A LOT...IT COMES OFF AS A LACK OF INTELLIGENCE ON YOUR PART...EH...BUT THEN...MOST OF THE SHIT YOU DO COMES OFF THAT WAY.🫤

YOU REPEAT YOURSELF A LOT

Quite something coming from a mindless bloviating troll who spends 24/7 clogging the site with relentless uninspired narcissistic drivel.

Still, it’s good that you’re following my posts, even if you’re not ready to understand them yet.

🤣🍆

I always liked his reviews.

reply

Articulate, funny, insightful. He’s the best out there, and refreshingly normal.

reply

Right wing radical men are not the target audience.

reply

Why are you talking about ‘right wing radical men’? Any normal person hates misandrist lecturing crammed into their lighthearted comedies.

reply

Funny how movies that are a lot of fun make money!

I'm happy it's a hit, even if I have no interest in paying money to see it. The director is sort of a local girl, and she's from an ordinary family and isn't a Hollywood Nepo Baby, so I'm happy to see her have a big hit.

reply

It’s even sadder when normal people get suckered into the woke cult. I feel bad for her family.

reply

Well, the anti-woke types want women to stay home and clean up after the menfolk, and definitely not direct movies. So as with any woman, you guys don't have much to offer someone like her...

reply

Err, no. Anti-woke people are just normal people who don’t want their entertainment crammed with the woke cult’s disgusting racist and sexist messaging. Try and keep up.

reply

No, the anti-woke types are extreme right-wingers who have all sorts of agendas that would take rights away from normal folks like me, and women like Greta Gerwig.

We don't want rights taken away, you don't want privileges taken away.

reply

I'm leaning more to the left, but I'm still worried what this woke-movement is doing to the film and tv industry.

reply

I'm seriously left, and think the Wokies are a bunch of spoiled kids and idiots in general, but the right wing is FAR more dangerous. The right wing wants to take everyone else's rights away, and the worst thing the Wokies are doing is empowering them, by making the opposition look bad.

Oh fuck off, you're part of the right-wing lunatic fringe, and have no clue how to pass as a "normal person".

I'm done talking to you, you don't have enough sense to be worthy of my time.

Same. I'm really not in its target demographic -- this is not my party -- and have no intention of paying money to watch a two hour toy commercial.

But it does look fun, I'll probably catch it sometime further down the line. And I'm happy it's a hit -- primarily because a lot of cinemas really need a hit right now. So I'm happy to see just about any film being a hit. Didn't see Avatar or Top Gun Maverick either. Delighted they did well though...

Also, I don't resent other people's fun like some kind of sneering crazy person. That way lies madness.

reply

"I don't resent other people's fun like some kind of sneering crazy person"

I generally agree, I'm a birdwatcher so I don't get to criticize other people's crazy ideas of fun!

However, there are limits, if someone is enjoying torturing animals or something as awful, then I think it's okay to interfere with someone else's good times.

reply

Ha! Well... yes. I was really thinking about movies, where the only thing equivalent to animal torture are the films of Adam Sandler. We have to stage an intervention at that point, but otherwise I'm mostly fine with people making and watching films that don't cater to my own individual tastes.

reply

Well as to movies, I try not to criticize people who like godawful movies, I generally say something like "Well, it's nice that *someone* likes it."!

Sometimes I do object to people liking films with a horrific agenda or moral message, like perhaps the goriest and most sadistic horror films. But I don't make a hobby of objecting, and I'm not a fucking snowflake like some of these anti-woke types, they'll let out butthurt shrieks if they see a person of color in the cast or a female objecting to mistreatment,... and the ones on Moviechat DO make a hobby of it.

reply

Why are you comparing it to MI7 which was released back on July 12th? Stupid.

Anyway, I'll be curious to see what kind of legs this movie has.

reply

I think we all know why.
