Why didn't they make Ken & Barbie black?

Does the story contain jabs at White Privilege that would have been impossible with a Ken & Barbie of Color?

That would have been more diverse.
It would be interesting if Ken had also been a woman that transitioned to become Ken.

I actually kinda expected them to keep Barbie white but change Ken to black.

That would've made perfect sense for HollyWierd. Many hot blonde women experience "White Guilt" so they go after black men. And there's another reason too.

There's Barbie's and Ken's of all races in the movie but Gosling and Margot are the "Stereotypical" versions.

Because the dolls are white. You don't just change characters races for no reason.

They did. They’re in the movie.

All the Barbies are privileged. Not so much with the Kens.

Because they really wanted this to do well to prove a point and they did prove a point...race swaps don't work
