I enjoyed this movie, but

Why does this one have such good ratings and the first two Bad Boys don’t even though they’re clearly better movies?

reply

Good question

I don’t understand it

reply

It deserves the good ratings, it's a really good movie.

I actually think this is the best one. The first was good-ish I guess, the second was okay-ish I guess. This one I found to be pretty entertaining.

reply

Nah, this is the best the series has gotten. The last two films aren't good. If people enjoy them, fine but let's not act like they're a lost action classic from the 90s like The Long Kiss Goodnight or The Last Boy Scout?

reply

Yeah, this was one made so much better hahahahah. Will Smith having an evil son was so clever.

THIS IS ON PAR WITH THE ORIGINAL AND BOTH ARE A LEVEL UP FROM PART 2.

I rewatched the other movies before watching this and I have to say the first one is really not as good as I remembered it. A terrible script saved by Will and Martin's performances.
The sequel had a slightly better script, but the Will and Martin arguments got tiring and repetitive after a while.

More of the same in this one, but it had the best script and shootouts. A lot of try hard jokes fell flat. Marcus' whining was more annoying than funny. Captain Howard was cringy. The Mexican witch was stuff out of a B-movie.

I also rewatched Men In Black. It was even better than I remembered it.
Now there's an actually good 90s buddy cop/agent movie featuring Will Smith.

I thought this one was on par with the first. Bad Boys II is still the best in the series. This would've been better if Michael Bay had came back to direct.

These are my ratings for the trilogy:

Bad Boys 1 = 6.5/10
Bad Boys 2 = 7.5/10
Bad Boys 3 = 5.0/10

The tone was kinda off and some green screen work was just terrible, the movie looked cheap when compared to part 2.
