One of Cruise's weaker films

I like most of Tom Cruise's films, but this wasn't very good. It dragged on far too long and was dull at times. The story wasn't interesting enough and the characters were not developed enough. The film borrowed too many elements from several other better films. My rating is 5/10.

Yup

reply

Well, I disagree totally.

In fact I'd call it one of his best films. It was long, but then it was a very complex story. I don't know what parts you thought were "dull".

reply

The bunker scenes were dull.

Oblivion was intended to be viewed and enjoyed by a mature audience. It was great, easily one of Tom Cruise's best movies. I recommend you re-watch it when you've reached adulthood.

reply

Yes this is a solid movie. If it weren't for Tom Cruise we won't see good sci-fi at all...

reply

I have reached adulthood. I’m a big boy now.

reply

Just because your body has reached adulthood doesn't necessarily mean that your mind has reached adulthood. In a few years, watch Oblivion again and you'll understand what I mean.

reply

More like a movie made for low-IQ individuals who like to pretend they’re smart

reply

I loved it.

reply

i thought it started fairly well. the minute i say the cruise clone knew it was bad news.

reply

Its hard not to be a completely original sci-fi so I dont fault it for that. I thought it was pretty good, certainly not a masterpiece but I found it entertaining enough. 7.5/10.

reply

This has been on my list for years but I still haven't sat myself down to watch it. I've certainly enjoyed Cruise's other sci-fi romps (Minority Report, Edge of Tomorrow). I still have to give this a shot one of these days.

Valkyrie is his weakest 4/10
Oblivion 7/10

Movie was great. It was very well made sci-fi movie and we dont have many of those.

Characters were dull but its Tom Cruise movie. Most of them have dull characters and Tom plays the same role in every movie.

Story was very interesting with unexpected twist.
